Discover your Energy Type
This is an introduction to the energy types to help you get started if you’re new to Human Design. Your Energy Type is a guide for how you’re designed to work. Keep in mind that it’s a starting point because there are so many other parts that make up your Human Design blueprint.
The 5 different energy types in Human Design are Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector and Reflector. I’ve included a simple description for each type below.
Manifestor
As a Manifestor, your energy is designed to come up with inspiring ideas or creative ways of doing things. You need the freedom to follow your creative flow and work when you feel inspired. You might find that you need plenty of rest in between. You’re not meant to do all of the work yourself so it’s important to surround yourself with a supportive network of people in your business who can help you get things done.
Reflection questions
* When do I feel most inspired in my business?
* What support do I need in my business to help me bring my ideas to life?
* How can I give myself more flexibility and freedom to explore my creative ideas?
Generator
As a Generator, you have a gift for being able to work towards mastery when you focus on doing things that bring you satisfaction and fulfilment. When you choose to work on the main thing that interests you, you have a consistent source of energy for your business. This is also what will attract the right people to you. It’s important to say no to anything that doesn’t feel aligned for you right now.

* Which parts of my work give me consistent energy?
* What am I saying yes to out of obligation instead of enjoyment in my business?
* What would my business look like if I chose the work that feels most fulfilling?
Manifesting Generator
As a Manifesting Generator, you have the energy traits of a Generator with the inspirational spark of a Manifestor. Your business isn’t meant to follow a linear path. You learn things quickly and are here to play with all of the things that excite you, usually at the same time. Unlike all the other types, you have a special talent for multi-tasking in your business. You work best when you respond to what feels inspiring for you. This is what will help you grow your business.

* Where do I need more freedom to do the things that inspire me?
* What are all the things I want to play with in my business right now?
* When do I feel the most energised and inspired in my business?
Projector
As a Projector, you are here to guide other people. You have a gift for being able to see the potential in people and how things can work more efficiently. Your business works best when you focus on exchanging your wisdom for money instead of time spent doing. You’re not designed to work 9 to 5 because you intuitively know how to work more efficiently. You also need to give yourself time to rest. Not everyone is ready for your guidance. Your guidance works best for the people who recognise your gifts and invite you to share your insights.

* What insights do I see that I can share with people who ask for my guidance?
* What changes do I need to make in my business to make time for rest?
* How can I design my business offerings to focus on my insights and guidance?
Reflector
As a Reflector, you are a rare and wise energy type. You are highly empathetic with a special ability to sample the energy around you and sense what’s aligned for people and what isn’t. This helps you bring wisdom, perspective and awareness to people by reflecting what they need to know. Your business works best when you choose environments that feel right for you and share your wisdom in between resting. You also need a full lunar cycle to sense what feels good for you.

* How can I structure my business so I can choose the right environment and have time for rest?
